JUNGLE TO SEA RETREAT: Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica
Where the lush jungle rainforests meet the pristine beaches along the coast of the secluded Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. Known as “one of the most biodiverse places on the planet” where nature and wildlife is bountiful, where Jungle meets to Sea. Hundreds of bird species are found here and not to mention the 4 different types of monkeys. The sounds of the jungle provide an orchestra of sound healing along with the amazing surf breaks.
I’m returning to this remote unspoiled area of Costa Rica where I first started hosting yoga retreats over 15 years ago.
The gorgeous jungle beach eco-lodge is at the edge of the rainforest with beautiful beaches on its doorstep. It’s a place to completely unplug from everyday life, dive deep into the rhythms of the natural world, and have an Pura Vida adventure surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. A perfect winter remedy!

The Eco-Lodge is completely solar powered featuring 10 one of kind bungalows and treehouses each with their own unique feeling.
As an alternative to the beach there is a wonderful salt water pool to refresh yourself during the day, with a swim up bar serving up juices and spirits.
The restaurant is alongside the pool, where all our delicious meals are served.
Couches, hammocks and pool swings provide cool vibes for socializing or just kicking back.
The two story Yoga Shala and spa is located on the edge of the ocean where you’ll overlook the tropical blue waters of Pan Dulce Bay. The sounds of the jungle and the waves rolling in is the perfect combination to lose yourself in nature. It feels like we are practicing up in the trees, awaiting the monkeys to swing by!

What to Expect on a Yoga Retreat?
A yoga retreat is the perfect combination of traveling without the hassle of figuring out all the logistics.
Everything on retreat is optional (even the yoga). You decide how much you wish to participate. But there is the healthy focus for your mind and body with daily practice offerings. It is a super opportunity to delve deeper into your yoga practice and to understanding yoga and meditation on a different level and ways to incorporate it into your everyday life.
Times of classes may change depending on the group and activities. 3 meals daily are included. Alcohol is permitted but respectful consumption and behavior is required.
Enjoy free time to relax when we are not doing trips. Massage and energy healing sessions can be booked.
Aside from yoga practice which is guided by Elaine, participants are responsible for what they do with their free time.
Who is it suitable for?
Single travelers, friends, couples are all welcome. If you are a go-with-the-flow type of person who has a good sense of humor, is up for a bit of adventure then this retreat should be a good fit. If you want to have a unique experience, be open to new experiences then sign up!
However, if you know you are high maintainence, if you need someone to do things for you all the time, if you are use to staying at hotels, resorts, high end places, then this most likely is not the trip for you!
