PERSONAL TRAINING & REASONS TO GET STARTED:
Why? – As I’ve approached a certain age (which I won’t mention), I’ve found that adding in weights, resistance training and more cardio is essential. Especially with hormone changes that do all sorts of weirdness to your body!!!
Another why? Personal Training really compliments the 20 years of experience I have in teaching yoga, my understanding of optimal good alignment of the physical body/working with imbalances/health challenges/injuries, health mentoring, EFT, energy work and my love of sports.
Why work with me? Aside from the above mentioned, I will challenge you, I will get you to hit your goals, I’m a nice trainer not a military type trainer. As some of my clients say “I’m sneaky with how I get them to do things!”
I also know what its like to struggle with illness. In 2005-2006 I couldn’t move my body, I almost died, I’ve several organs removed, my body is disfigured, I have an ostomy bag, it is a disability but I don’t let all that hold me back. Rather it gives me a huge appreciation of my physical body and emotional/mental health. I’m all inclusive and have a great understanding when it comes to body image and all body types no matter what you’re going through.
Don’t like working out? – No worries, the thought of going to a gym is about as appealing as doing my taxes. – I’m not that sort of personal trainer or fitness person. I do fun stuff, without having to use a bunch of crazy equipment. It’s about being active when you can, doing the right sort of things for your body in order to achieve your goals. Plus I’m a great motivator!!!
Results? – I’m now in better shape and stronger than I’ve ever been. Seeing the results my clients get is so satisfying. The unexpected things they experience like having more energy, being able to lift heavy stuff around the house and garden, feeling better about themselves. One client told me “she felt a bit apprehensive about spending this money on herself. Now says its the best spent money EVER!”
Everyone has different goals hence why a personalized training is so effective. If you are willing to show up and put in the work, then you will achieve results. Witnessing my clients transformations is truly amazing!
Can’t get out of your own way? – I use my favorite modality (Emotional Freedom Technique) to help clear blocks about getting fit, body image, weight release as well as for stress, anxiety – actually I use it for everything and my clients love this!
Want variety? – I can offer a combination of everything I do to help you achieve your goals and to feel good about your self and your body.

Virtual or In Person? – Virtual works great but if you live in the Cape Ann/north Shore area we may be able to meet in person depending on weather and Covid.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Sessions are based on the clients needs and goals which are discussed in the first meeting (see below). Practice plan can include yoga postures, meditation, relaxation and breathing techniques, mind/body techniques. Looking at patterns that are help within the physical, emotional and mental bodies. EFT (emotional freedom technique/tapping) to help identify root causes of patterns. Sound and reiki can also be used.
GET STARTED YOGA PACKAGE:
The “Get-Started” package is for anyone who is new to working in a private capacity with me. My clients and I have found this to be of the most benefit and best use of our time. It includes 3 sessions:
1st session, 90 mins. This includes a proper history and medical intake, full evaluation including physical posture, lifestyle choices, constitution, mental and emotional health, clients goals. It provides the space to get to know one another and get comfortable with working with each other. Time permitting, we will also get started on a practice.
2nd session, 60 mins. Specific practice plan for clients needs and goals. This could include yoga postures, breath and relaxation techniques, mind/body awareness and tools, life-style recommendations, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), meditation, sound
3rd session, 60 mins. Specific practice plan for client (as above)
MAINTENANCE YOGA PACKAGE:
Once you have gone through the Get-Started package, you have to option to do the MAINTENANCE PACKAGE. This is fully supportive of our previous time together and provides the continuity to deepen your practice and explore at a deeper level while incorporating everything that we have established and learned in earlier sessions. Or if you don’t wish to have the assessment but just wish to do regular private class then this is the one for you.
4 x 1 hour sessions to be used within 4 months:
SINGLE YOGA SESSION:
If you only wish to do one session then I am happy to accommodate you. You can either do a 60 min session with no evaluation, or a 90 min session with a comprehensive evaluation.
