I’m thrilled to be returning to the stunning Caribbean islands of Bocas del Toro for our Tropical Panama Retreat 2027.

Nestled between the magnificent 3 mile stretch of unspoilt bluff beach and lush jungle, our private sanctuary offers a completely laid-back vibe. Set on 4 arces of land with plenty of wildlife and its own farm.

Boasting a 65′ swimming pool surrounded with beautiful landscaping, our luxury eco-friendly accommodations are spread out over various casitas.

The main house is the hub with it’s sweeping porch.

Of course we have a wonderful outdoor yoga deck for practice.

BOCAS DEL TORO – The area, lodge and farm

Bocas del Toro is an archipelago or a group of islands on the Caribbean coast of Panama. There is something for everyone – the ocean lover and the hiker. Or, just grab a hammock, a good book and RELAX! The Sloths set the pace here with the reminder to SLOW DOWN!

Many activities are right outside the front door.

Take the bikes down the road or into the lively colorful town of Bocas

Bring snorkel gear to enjoy the pools of Playa Pristina and the Piscina.

For the surfer, there are different breaks around the archipelago during Bocas del Toro surf season.

Horseback riding guided tours on beaches, through jungle trails to amazing swimming spots.

Enjoy a long walk on this incredible beach but be aware that the current can be really strong with riptides. Isla Carenero is another great spot for water sports including SUP, kayak, surf, diving, snorkeling.

Bocas town is 20 mins by taxi. There are plenty of restaurants and bars. Its the hub for taxi boats to other islands which also boast lovely beaches.

Bluff beach a protected turtle nesting site. Beginning in March through September, different varies of turtles come to lay their eggs on the beach. The most impressive being the Giant Leatherback Turtle!

Enjoy a fabulous boat trip through the archipelago, with snorkeling, and exploring desserted islands. A must do!

ACCOMODATIONS:

There are 3 separate casitas (houses) on the property.

The Main House with 4 bedrooms, LaPlaya house with 3 bedrooms, Las Palmas house with 2 bedrooms.

All rooms are unique and have their own special design and feeling. All en-suite bathrooms (except Las Palmas house), and private decks, lounging areas and total chill vibe. The jungle and ocean are your soundscape.

Single, Double and Triple Rooms available with different bed layouts.

Yoga

Yoga practice will be outdoors on a beautiful yoga deck overlooking the jungle and sea views.

As a master teacher Elaine has 20+ years of experience as well as being a gifted sound and energy healer. You will learn so much from the skillful manner in which she teaches and guides you in practice. This is accessible for all-levels.

Each day will include meditation, breathwork, yoga asana (poses), variety of types of classes and movements, mantras, chanting and time to restore a deep connection with your own self.

All practices are optional so if you feel like only doing meditation or asana or skipping practice and enjoying hammock instead, then that is fine. Elaine encourages people to find their own pace and listen to their own bodies wisdom.

Retreat Adventure Includes:

7 nights accommodation at the retreat house
3 delicious meals per day
2 daily yoga classes, meditation, breathwork (all optional)
Transfers from Bocas airport to the retreat house (if you are on the group flight)
Use of bicycles
Concierge service with help booking domestic flights to/from Panama city to Bocas del Toro

The Main House and La Playa House:

Triple Room – $3,000 ensuite
Double Room – $3,100-$3,200 ensuite
Single Room – $3,500-$3650 ensuite

Las Palmas 2 bedroom Casita shares a bathroom and rooms slightly smaller:

Double Room – $3,000
Single Room – $3,300

MEALS

3 delicious meals daily with locally sourced produce and creative Latin/Caribbean fusion dishes. Dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated.

GETTING THERE/FLIGHTS:

International flights into Panama City Tocumen Airport. There are direct flights on COPA from Boston. Guidelines of what flights to book will be given.

You can choose to fly in a day in advance or extend your stay and explore Panama city or visit Panama canal

Domestic flights from Albrook Airport. We will help with booking flights. It’s about 45-60 minute flight from Panama City to Bocas.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

A $900 non-refundable registration fee is required to book and secure your spot and room choice.

All Prices are Per Person. If you wish to pay in Euros then please contact me for pricing.

Cancellation policy: $900 registration fee is non-refundable unless the retreat is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Talk directly with Elaine about any concerns.

1st payment towards balance due August 1st 2026

Remaining payment due by November 15th 2026

Once payments are made they are non-refundable.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

NO refunds once any payments are made. This is a strict policy. There are no refunds and no exceptions for any reason, including Covid, injury or any other illness.

If for some reason you need to cancel, you may be able to transfer your spot to someone else. However, the new person will need to pay a new registration fee. Any changes need to be approved by Elaine. If you signed up with someone to share a room, then your roommate needs to be ok with any change.

***It is HIGHLY suggested to have your own travel insurance such as “cancel for any reason” in case you need to cancel last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. Make sure you read what your insurance covers you for. You need to take full responsibility for your own health or if any health issues arise. Again, payments are non-refundable and it is not the responsibility of Elaine to refund for any part of your trip.***

What to Expect on a Yoga Retreat?

A yoga retreat is the perfect combination of traveling without the hassle of figuring out all the logistics.

Everything on retreat is optional (even the yoga). You decide how much you wish to participate. But there is the healthy focus for your mind and body with daily practice offerings. It is a super opportunity to delve deeper into your yoga practice and to understanding yoga and meditation on a different level and ways to incorporate it into your everyday life.

Times of classes may change depending on the group and activities. 3 meals daily are included. Alcohol is permitted but respectful consumption and behavior is required.

Enjoy free time to relax when we are not doing trips. Massage and energy healing sessions can be booked.

Aside from yoga practice which is guided by Elaine, participants are responsible for what they do with their free time.

Who is it suitable for?

Single travelers, friends, couples are all welcome. If you are a go-with-the-flow type of person who has a good sense of humor, is up for a bit of adventure then this retreat should be a good fit. If you want to have a unique experience, be open to new experiences then sign up!

However, if you know you are high maintainance, if you need someone to do things for you all the time, if you are use to staying at hotels, resorts, high end places, then this most likely is not the trip for you!
