Step into sunlit hills and the rolling Vineyards of famed Malbec Wines for our France Yoga Retreat. This is the “The Lot Valley” in South West of France. It feels like a slower, more hidden side of the country — dramatic limestone cliffs, winding rivers, medieval villages and country markets.

Our home for our France Yoga Retreat is a secluded French Chateau set on 50 acres of woodlands, with captivating views of the rural countryside. There is such a peaceful and authentically French feel to this area. Pure Tranquility.

There’s a charming ambience in this welcoming château from its drawing room with chesterfield sofas surrounding the log-burning fire to its ten bedrooms, some featuring carved French beds and many with glorious views of the surrounding countryside. Feel the magic of the top-floor tower bedroom with its canopied circular bed and little windows looking out to the valleys beyond. This is a fairytale chateau!

There is beautiful swimming pool, a target 6 hole golf course, bikes, ping-pong, darts, pool table, as well as the woodlands to explore.

A dedicated yoga room, wine/poker cellar, bar area.

Experience fantastic day trips to medieval villages, with cobblestone streets and stunning architecture which transports you back in time.

Pilgrimage sights built into rock-faces that will leave you wondering how on earth they were ever built.

The meandering Lot River and the vastness of fields, rolling hills, vineyards. All of this encompassing the magnificent countryside for our France Yoga Retreat.

EXPERIENCES:

The medieval towns and countryside of this region are a must-see. We have 3 Day trips planned which include:

Sarlat-la-Canéda. This is a beautifully preserved medieval and Renaissance town. Renowned for its honey-colored limestone buildings, lively open-air markets, and world-class gastronomy
Rocamadour which is a breathtaking, UNESCO-listed medieval village clinging to a limestone cliff above the Alzou River canyon. Famous for its historic pilgrimage sanctuaries and the revered Black Madonna.
Gouffre de Padirac: It is the largest underground natural cavity in Europe, where visitors descend 103 meters to explore a subterranean river by boat and see massive, 60-meter-high stalactites.
Cahor on Market Day. Visit the bustling markets which come to life in this medieval town surrounding by the Lot river.

MEALS

3 daily delicious meals are included (except for lunch on excursion days).

The chateau is comprised of 10 rooms, all with a different design and layout.

Chinese Room Master Ensuite Room

This is the largest room and suitable for 2 people sharing. Double bed. Ensuite bathroom. Suited on the 2nd level.

Humming Bird Room Ensuite

2nd Largest room. Suitable for 2 people sharing. Ensuite bathroom with tub/shower. Suited on the 2nd level. Price €3125 per person

Peacock Turret Room – shared bathroom

A gorgeous round room suited in the Turret on the 2nd level. It’s the 3rd largest room. Double bed. Shares a good size bathroom with the blue room.

Suitable for 2 people sharing or as a single room.

Blue room with shared bathroom

A double bed with lovely views. Shares bathroom with the Peacock room. 2nd level. This is a single room.

Price Single Occupancy €3375

Round Room Ensuite

This is on the ground level in the Turret. Double bed with ensuite bathroom. Near the kitchen and living room areas.

Suitable for 2 sharing or as a single

Princess Canopy Room and Adjoining Tree Room Ensuite

A perfect room for 2-3 friends sharing. The Tree Room opens into the Princess Room in the turret with the circular canopy bed. Seriously, who wouldn’t want this room!

The bathroom is in the Tree Room. The bathroom and shower is a smaller European style one. Upper floor level.

Book Room Ensuite

Double bed and ensuite bathroom. Upper floor level, smaller room.

Suitable for couple or as a single

Twin Rooms with shared bathroom

2 Twin Rooms with 2 twin beds each. These rooms share a small bathroom. Upper level, smaller rooms, and smaller bathroom.

Suitable for 2 friends sharing or as a single room

INCLUDED IN THE FRANCE YOGA RETREAT:

7 nights accommodation at our FairyTale Chateau
3 meals daily, mostly vegetarian, except for lunches on daytrips which are not included
2 yoga classes daily (all-levels, variety of classes including meditation, breathwork)
3 Day trips transportation. Day trips are self guided with plenty of free time to explore
Use of the pool, bikes, golf, games room and the entire property

PAYMENT SCHEDULE/TERMS & CONDITIONS

A €850 euro non-refundable registration fee is required to book and secure your spot. You are acknowledging and understanding the terms & conditions of this retreat.

All Prices are Per Person.

Cancellation policy: All payments are non-refundable unless the retreat is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Talk directly with Elaine about any concerns.

All prices listed are in Euros.

Payments in US $ will be subject to rate of exchange of date of payment.

First balance payment due October 15th

Final payment due March 15th 2027

Payment plans are also available (discuss with Elaine)

Once payments are made they are non-refundable.

NO refunds. This is a strict policy. There are no refunds and no exceptions or any reason, including Covid, injury or any other illness.

If for some reason you need to cancel, you may be able to transfer your spot to someone else. However, the new person will need to pay a new registration fee of $250. Any changes need to be approved by Elaine. If you signed up with someone to share a room, then your roommate needs to be ok with any change.

TRAVEL FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS.

These are the responsibility of the participant

Most USA flights are overnight which means departing on Friday May 28th for arrival Saturday May 29th.

Toulouse, France is the nearest airport. Within Europe it may be possible to fly into Bergerac.

Airport transfer to retreat will be arranged by Elaine. Cost is not included in retreat price as this is an extra service. It will be split by participants. Details to come.

It is also possible to take a train to Cahors and taxi from there.

There are direct trains from Paris to Cahors, approximately 5-6 hours.

If you wish to explore more then please rent your own car.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON A YOGA RETREAT?

A yoga retreat is the perfect combination of traveling without the hassle of figuring out all the logistics.

Everything on retreat is optional (even the yoga). You decide how much you wish to participate. But there is the healthy focus for your mind and body with daily practice offerings. It is a super opportunity to delve deeper into your yoga practice and to understanding yoga and meditation on a different level and ways to incorporate it into your everyday life.

Times of classes may change depending on the group and activities.

Most meals are included except on day trips where you will get your own lunch .

Alcohol is permitted but respectful consumption and behavior is required.

Enjoy free time to relax when we are not doing trips. Massage and energy healing sessions can be booked.

Aside from yoga practice which is guided by Elaine, participants are responsible for what they do with their free time.

Day trips are included but again if you don’t want to go on one then just advise Elaine.

WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?

Single travelers, friends, couples are all welcome. If you are a go-with-the-flow type of person who has a good sense of humor, is up for a bit of adventure then this retreat should be a good fit. If you want to have a unique experience, be open to new experiences then sign up!

However, if you know you are high maintainance, if you need someone to do things for you all the time, if you are use to staying at hotels, resorts, high end places, then this most likely is not the trip for you!
